This stuff also tends to run in the family. My dad and both of my grandfathers were (and are) business owners...

I'm with you - for me it comes down to problem solving...I love thinking about and solving problems...and really, that's what any startup is all about. Problems, problems, problems.

Anyway - I would wish you luck today, but you don't really need it. Just show them a little bit about the world you're creating, explain a little bit about the lives you'll be changing, and I'm sure you'll get what you need.

The best advice I've heard on the topic of marriage are these two things -

Count me in the group that says this should be a paid position. The alternative is that whoever takes the gig is going to use it to further their own career (necessarily so!) through influence and promises and that sounds like a bad idea.

I never go for unpaid internships. It's just not fair. That's why when I recently signed up for a student community which I can feature my free online resume and get job alerts (NUresume: www.nuresume.com), I specifically set my eye on employers who PAY interns. No student should get ordered around without their deserved salary!
